Its been awhile since l last updated this site, but after being absent from the skies for over 3 weeks, l was finally able to get myself back into the sky! And it was truly a magnificent day to go flying!
Since l initially began my journey online, there have been a lot of personal as well as professional changes in my life. The most notable one is l decided to change jobs for one that will hopefully allow me more time to be closer to friends and family.
Besides changing jobs , today was probably also the last flight l will have with one of the instructors that not only taught me to be a better pilot, but also made me laugh uncontrollably at times in the air! I only wish him the best, and l know our paths will cross again.
Now, onto today’s flight!
Before setting out for the skies, l had two very clear objectives that l wanted to accomplish. Not only did l want to clear some of the cobwebs that might have developed over the past few weeks, but also to get myself familiar with a close friends airplane that he so graciously allowed me to fly. While some of the cobwebs were blown off, l still have a little more to discover about this airplanes characteristics. But through all the new discoveries that were made in-flight, l was able to shoot a successful RNAV 20 Approach! (Maybe there still is hope for me after-all)
Here is a picture of the airplane that a friend allowed me to take for a quick trip around the city. This airplane is what is known as a Piper Warrior. It can fly up to 4 passengers and take you most places that your heart desires! It’s a really nice airplane to fly.
On a side note,
One of things that l finally got to do after many years of flying, was to experience the joys of pushing the aircraft in and out of a Hangar. Trust me when l say this, it looks a lot easier than it actually is! Just follow the little yellow line!
Today’s flight was pretty uneventful. And that’s how most flights should be. Towards the end tho, it did get rather windy, and surprisedly for only the second time flying this aircraft, l did amazingly well.
Stayed tuned as more adventures are on the way!
